This addition extends the list given earlier in the sentence: 'datus est enim in medicinam, in cibum, in potum, in hostiam, in maedicum, in sacerdotem, in reparationem' (meaning For it was given in medicine, in food, in drink, in the stranger, in healing, in the priest, in renewal). The addition '...in vitam denique corporis et animae, in mortem, in resurrectionem' continues the list ...in life, indeed in the body and the soul, in death, and in resurrection. This seems an important addition to the list.
