motus Solis diurnus umbrae in Planum quodpiam projectione decircinat, aliisque similibus de rebus praemitti aut praesupponi solent: sed ne praefixas brevitatis metas transgrediar, omitto, et Instructorem Tyrorum Principium ac Nobilium, ad Cursus Mathematici Librum decimum quartum, ad Clavii tractatus varios Gnomonicos Tomo quarto Operum comprehensos, ad P.Athanasii Kircheri Librum tertium, quartum, aliosque Artis Magnae Lucis et umbre, necnon ad alios Gnomonices Scriotires remitto. Subinde tamen quaepiam magis necessaria, et sine quibus Theoriae aut praxes Horographicae explicari atque intelligi non possunt, interseram. Ante omnia tamen nonnullas Hypotheses praemittere placet.
