This addition provides context in what to recognize in the following list: 'Deo suo et in Iesu Christo incarnato, nato, circumciso, mortuo, et Virgine Maria et sanctis, in rebus sacris, et mortuis qui sunt in Purgatorio' (meaning in God himself and in Jesus Christ, Incarnate, born, circumcised, dead, and in the Virgin Mary, and in the holy ones, and in the sacred things, and in the dead who are in Purgatory).
The additional section added in the variant- 'haec omnia quod cognoscant bonum quod est ipsis in' means all the good things which they recognize are good things in themselves in... [here follows the above list of sacred people and things].
