These words are spelled similarly but have different meanings. 'Fieret' is an imperfect subjuctive verb meaning she was happening, becoming while 'fide' is either the imperative trust! or by faith.
With 'Fieret': 'ut beata Virgo per quam praesentissima fieret menti meae' (meaning since the Blessed Virgin through this, was becoming most present in my mind).
With 'fide': 'ut beata Virgo per quam praesentissima fide menti meae' (meaning since the Blessed Virgin through which most propitious faith in my mind...).
