These verbs both are first person, singular, perfect tense, and come from the same root verb. They can both mean I accepted, but the different prefix gives a different nuance.
'Accepi' means I took, grasped, heard while Recepi means I took back, recovered.
In this case, the writer is accepting a verbal response, so the more appropriate choice is 'accepti'.
