Abstract	This is the longest letter but the least clear in its content. In Italian, it is addressed to the Jesuit College in Messina, to be given to the “Figlio del Re de fies.” This is the college where Mandes stayed from October 1657 to September 1661, so the letter, undated, must belong to these years.
