It has been useful, therefore, because of the spiritual plagues, and the traces of my weaknesses, while not well healed, from this time may be suitably renewed.

utile igitur fuerit quod plagae meae spirituales, et vestigia infirmitatum mearum, non dum bene signatarum ex hoc tempore quasi renoventur eo tempore, quo passiones et merita Christi renovantur.

It would be useful therefore, because of my spiritual ailments, and the traces of my infirmities, while not well marked from this time may be as if renewed, at the time when the sufferings and merits of Christ are renewed.
