31.1 Penso si sia sbagliato, perché con mercibus (merx, mers -mercis) la frase non suona bene, mentre con mercedibus (merces -edis) sarebbe più sensata. Questo ovviamente lo deduco dal dizionario, ma può anche essere che nel XVII secolo ci sia stato uno slittamento semantico, o che io abbia capito male la frase. Forse andrebbe bene anche mercibus, ma comunque la parola presenta anche un errore perché mi sembra che avesse messo una "i" in più (mericibus), poi cancellata.
