Detto anche Moretus,fu un tipografo ed editore flammingo nato a Anversa (Antwerp) del 1574; nel ambito tipografico è stato titolare della Officina Plantiniana, una casa editrice fondata da Christophe Plantin nel 1555. Baltashar muore nel 1641.
