Dear sir,
The letter you wrote me on
the 24th of June gave me the
proudest gratification and by its
intelligence relieved me of a load
of anxiety refuting the Chronicles
of this majority the Sun. Since its
receipt I have been obliged to
give a good deal of attention to
the performances of a young gentleman
whose services I have deemed for
these weeks "only" to transcribe all
the solar ... of ...
(almost 720 drawings) to an increased
state, from 90 millimeters to 12 inches.
