Gregorian Archives Texts Editing (GATE) is a collaborative project mainly contributed by volunteers who offer their time and work without being paid. Anyone can ask for an account and start a collaboration extended to all the initiatives hosted on this platform. However in certain cases editing of pages may be restricted to prevent disruption and/or vandalism.
It is important to remember that all contributions to GATE may be edited, altered, or removed by other contributors or by administrators. If you are not comfortable with this practice, we invite you to carefully think about contributing to GATE. In any case, your contribution to GATE must be original or, at most, copied from public domain or similar free sources. Remember to always cite your sources and, more important, do not submit copyrighted work without permission.
A collaborative platform needs users who can work with other people in a civil manner. Contributors should behave politely and respectfully, in order to maintain a pleasant work enviroment: if administrators should notice violation to these basic principles, they could decide to ban temporarily or permanently the disrespectful users.
