However Kircher attributed authorship of the Specula's original edition (Naples, 1638), to the General of the Society of Jesus in Malta, Salvatore Imbroll, and it is under Imbroll's name, rather than Kircher's, that this rare book is to be found in the National Library of Malta in Valletta -->
