Silvestro Aldobrandini

Silvestro Aldobrandini (Roma, 1587 - Roma, 28 January 1612) was the son of Gianfrancesco and Olimpia Aldobrandini, a nephew of Cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini and a grand-nephew of Pope Clemente VIII, who elevated him to cardinal on 17 September 1603. He resigned his positions as Knight of the Order of Malta and Prior in Rome of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem upon his elevation to the cardinalate.[1]
