Angelo Luswergh or Lusvergh (1793-1858), along with his son Giacomo Luswergh (1819-1891), were two pioneers in the field of photography. Giacomo was a builder of scientific devices and was a prominent figure in the Roman scientific community, showing interest in the new invention of photography. Together with his father, Angelo, they published the first known catalog of photographic views of Rome in 1855. They participated in various photographic exhibitions, including the one in Dublin in 1865, where they showcased views of Rome and portraits, including one of the sculptor Tenerani, among others.
