4th edition.
Misson's work is composed of two distinct parts. The first is an account of his travel in the form of letters dating from October 6th, 1687 to October 3rd, 1688. The second part, titled "Memoire pour les Voyageurs", consists of a collection of useful informations for travellers, updated as of 1694.
Misson's visit to the Roman College is mentioned in the letter from April 27th, 1688: <<Autrefois le Cabinet du P. Kirker, au College Romain, estoit un des plus curieux de l’Europe; mais on l’a extrémément démembré. Nous y avons vû encore un ramas considerable de raretez naturelles, & plusieurs machines de Méchaniques.>> (vol. 2, p. 252).
On vol. 3, p. 209, in the second part of the work, the remains of Kircher's collection is included in a list of Cabinets of Rarities and Libraries personally visited by the author in Rome.
