I am curious about the implications of replacing devotio with cognitio in reference to the beatitudes. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 An interesting substitution -- replacing &amp;quot;a particular piety/devotion/zeal&amp;quot; with &amp;quot;a particular knowledge/perception/idea&amp;quot; seems to show a preference for the spiritual life of the mind to the spiritual life in the heart by the ''MF'' editor.&lt;br /&gt;
